Stop Verizon Greed!

45,000 Verizon workers went on strike on Sunday, August 7th.  The reason? Despite record profits, Verizon pushed proposals at the bargaining table that would let them outsource more jobs, including sending jobs overseas, slash sick days, eliminate benefits for workers who get hurt on the job and cut the healthcare benefits they promised retirees.

On Saturday, August 20th, CWA and IBEW announced that they had reached an agreement on bargaining with Verizon.  The unions did not agree to any of the company’s concessionary demands to reach agreement.  Instead, it was the solidarity we all showed that created the opportunity for progress. The strike brought Verizon to their knees and brought the company back to the table negotiate in good faith. They need your help to keep the pressure on Verizon to help win a fair contract with decent wages, good benefits and job security.

America has had enough of corporate greed.

Sign the petition now to tell Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam to stop Verizon’s attack on the middle class and share his company’s success with those who made it possible.  It's time to let Verizon and other greedy corporations know that enough is enough.  We're not just going to "hold the line", we're going to MOVE the line!
