Special Guest: Judith Murawski, an Industrial Hygienist from the AFA-CWA Air Safety, Health and Security Department (International Office).
Ms. Murawski works primarily on work-related health issues of concern to flight attendants, including aircraft air quality, aircraft disinfection practices as per foreign quarantine requirements, cosmic radiation, and AFA-CWA's Flight Attendant Health Reporting System. She is an active member of both the ASHRAE Aircraft Air Quality Committee and the ITF International Task Group on Aircraft Air Quality, addressing concerns related to inadequate ventilation, cabin altitude, contaminated supply air, and pesticide exposure. In addition to her work on health issues, she worked with the AFA-CWA members of the FAA working group tasked with proposing a standard to define the minimum amount of evacuation space at overwing exits.
Pilots are welcome as well. We do expect to have a couple of Pilot representatives at the meeting. Flight Attendants and Pilots, please, join us for this very informative and poignant presentation.
