Dear Supporter,

ELECTIONS for SECTION 6 NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE

The AFA Constitution and Bylaws (C&B - Section VI) contain provision governing Section 6 Negotiations. An upcoming Eline will further detail complete Section 6 negotiations. The first step is for the Master Executive Council (the LEC Presidents) to elect a new East Section 6 Negotiating Committee.

The C&B mandates an airline of our size requires a minimum committee of three members plus the sitting Master Executive Council President.

Therefore, in compliance with the C&B, the MEC is now soliciting applications and resumes for any member in good standing.

The MEC will elect committee members on January 12, 2010 as part of our extended (to accommodate the election) January 10-11 MEC meeting in CLT.

Anyone interested must submit an application by the close of business on January 11, 2011
(Online Application & Email resume to Glenda Talley MEC Secretary Treasurer - GTalley@afausairways.org)

All applicants are invited to attend the meeting. The duties and responsibilities of the committee member are contained in the application link below. In addition, I must point out that serving as a committee member also will require the following:

- Extensive time away from home at negotiations sites determined by mutual agreement between the Union and the company.

- Flight pay loss will be provided

- Expenses will be provided.
