Formatting Content
Formatting HTML emails properly is extremely difficult. The type of formatting can change amongst computers, web browsers, and e-mail readers. In addition, your formatting can change whether you copy it from Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, a text editor, and so forth. Lastly, the type of web browser that you are using in order to access and create your newsletter in the salsa system can also affect the formatting changes when you paste your text into the content editing box.
- For this reason, it is impossible to cover all of the scenarios and issues that can arise here. Instead, here are some recommendations for pasting content into the editor box:
- Do not use the Internet Explorer web browser. Rather, use Firefox since this is the type of web browser that has been optimized by salsa for use with the editing system.
- Generally, you will copy content that you have written in Microsoft Word. However, word editing programs (such as Microsoft Word) have unique formatting styles that are not applicable in newsletters. Because of this, it will be necessary for you to strip away the styles and then reformat everything using the content editor box in salsa.
