Dear Supporter,
This is the October 2011 edition of the "President's Preview," a quick look at the upcoming edition of The Postal Record that's in the mail now. This e-mail message is part of our ongoing effort to ensure that your union stays in touch with every e-Activist at least once a month.
In the October 2011 magazine, you'll find my President's Message, titled, "Taking it to the streets—and to the airwaves":
On Sept. 27, the NALC and its sister unions in the Postal Service took our campaign to Save America’s Postal Service to the streets of America. In solidarity with the members of the APWU, NRLCA and the NPMHU, we coordinated the largest single-day demonstration in the history of the postal labor movement. All across the country, in every congressional district in the land, we rallied the public and our members to save the USPS by demanding action from Congress.
Thank you for signing up to be a member of the NALC e-Activist Network. Please make sure your brother and sister members are e-Activists, too, to stay informed with valuable, timely messages and alerts about issues important to letter carriers and the U.S. Postal Service. If you know members who are not e-Activists, please forward this e-mail to them and ask them to go to nalc.org to sign up today.
In Solidarity,
Fredric V. Rolando, President
National Association of Letter Carriers
