The NALC e-Activist Network

Dear Supporter,

When the Senate reconvenes next week, it is possible senators will take up S. 1789. As we continue to deliver our message to Senate staff members here in Washington, I’m counting on you to deliver a message out in the field this Thursday, April 12:

“Congress: Don’t dismantle the United States Postal Service.”

This legislation is not the solution to the Postal Service’s financial woes and the American people deserve a better plan.

On the afternoon of this Thursday, April 12, members of the NALC will join forces with our allies to send a message to the nation and the Senate. Click here to find the time and location of an event near you.

During these events, we will convene outside of Senate offices to urge each senator to oppose S. 1789 when it comes to the floor for a vote. These are not pickets against your senators, but rather a demonstration to educate them and the public on why S. 1789 is not the right reform to save the United States Postal Service.

Don’t let Congress jeopardize Saturday mail delivery,
phase out door-to-door mail delivery
and radically downsize the USPS and reduce service standards.

Join us for a demonstration to oppose this destructive postal reform bill, S. 1789.

Date: This Thursday, April 12 (unless otherwise noted)

Time: 5 to 6 p.m. (local time, unless otherwise noted)

Location: Your local U.S. Senate offices. Click here for a list of locations.

The better the turnout, the more impact these events will have. And please wear your NALC colors. The timing and impact of these events will be critical in helping us stop S. 1789 and save America’s Postal Service.
