Congress Needs to Act on An FAA Extension Immediately!
Nearly four thousand families have been affected by the shutdown of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It is unacceptable that real people are caught in the middle of, and paying a financial penalty for, a congressional dispute that is not of their making.
An extension of FAA programs is desperately needed in order ensure that FAA employees can continue to provide important services and safety functions to the agency and the American flying public. To prevent further delays in FAA modernization projects and initiatives, we urge Congress to take immediate action to pass an extension to authorize the FAA.
The hard-working aviation safety professionals of the FAA and their families should not be forced to pay the price for the inability of lawmakers in Washington to do the job they were elected to do.
