Sign the petition: Affordable Tuition, Un-freeze Wages

You can sign in 1 of 2 ways: Send the email message below or text RUTGERSONE to 77007 on your cell.

Rising tuition is indenturing graduates with debt. A lack of support for staff and instructors, including a salary freeze that violates employment contracts, hurts student' learning conditions and the community. We are speaking out: Signing this petition means you join others in telling Rutgers management that they should work for affordable tuition and lift the salary freeze.

Add your signture to the 2,500 collected from undergraduate students on September 1 during the Rutgers One Student/Labor Awareness Day on New Brunswick campuses and in Newark. We added many more signatures on the day of President McCormick's State of the University speech on September 16, so the total is about 4,000. We continue to collect signatures heading towards the Board of Governors' meeting on October 12 at 12:30pm on the Rutgers-Newark campus in the Paul Robeson Campus Center.

We, the undersigned, call on Rutgers University to:
1. Keep tuition affordable.
2. End the salary freeze for faculty and staff.
